Kenya has one of the largest energy access deficits, with 12 million people lacking electricity. Over 75% rely on polluting fuels like charcoal and wood, posing severe health and environmental risks. Limited financing, high costs, and poor infrastructure hinder clean energy adoption. The d.light Carbon Programme provides Solar Home Systems and Lanterns, reducing emissions, fuel consumption, and indoor pollution. Carbon finance lowers product costs, making clean energy more affordable and accessible for low-income households, improving lives sustainably.
